This event is presented in collaboration with the South Tyrol Jazz Festival Alto Adige.

Carmen by Ernst Lubitsch (DEU 1918, 80‘)

In a reinterpretation of Georges Bizet’s famous opera, Lubitsch’s silent film tells the tragic story of Don José, a Spanish cavalryman who falls under the spell of Carmen, a member of the Sinti and Roma community. She treats him with both love and contempt, leading to his downfall.

DAMIAN DALLA TORRE - 10.04. / 21:30 / CAPITOL 2

A solo set filled with improvisations inspired by his critically acclaimed album I Can Feel My Dreams (ranked No. 1 in The Guardian’s Top 10 Contemporary Albums of 2024). In this performance, field recordings, wind instruments, synth strings, and delicate sampling techniques blend into sound collages, oscillating between gentle familiarity and dreamlike distortions.

The result is a warm, immersive experience that transcends time, reflecting connection, universality, and shared human experiences. Through this sonic landscape, Damian invites the audience to pause and reflect on their own thoughts and emotions.
