We are pleased to present Dag Johan Haugerud’s “Trilogy of Relationships” in collaboration with WANTED.
Three films about love, longing, and identity, including the latest Dreams (winner of the Golden Bear at Berlinale 2025), followed by the first installment, Sex (2024, Berlinale 2024), set for release on May 15, and the second, Love (in competition at the Venice Film Festival 2024), which will be released in Italian cinemas from April 17, 2025.
These films explore relationships, affection, sexuality, dreams, and desires. Yet, they possess something special—something that captivates us and draws us in until the boundary between the characters on screen and ourselves begins to blur. Why do we feel so connected to them? Because Haugerud is a master of empathy. His characters are unique yet wonderfully ordinary.
We see ourselves in the doctor and the nurse, in the patient from Love, in the girl and the teacher from Dreams, in the chimney sweeps from Sex. Perhaps they embody what we long for—the ability to live, suffer, love, and feel less alone.
