04.–13.04.2025

Highlights
05.04 | DAY 2

Competition BFFB38
MY BOYFRIEND EL FASCISTA (93 min) | 4:30 PM | CAPITOL 1

Against the stunning backdrop of the Alps, Matthias and Sadiel experience a true story full of political tensions and the search for identity. Disappointed by communist Cuba, Sadiel moves closer to the political right, while Matthias remains true to his convictions. Their relationship reflects larger social conflicts and puts both political convictions and the idea of an ideal queer relationship to the test. With originality and a touch of irony, this intimate portrait intertwines a highly political topic with a personal love story, without losing its lightness.

In presence of Matthias Lintner (director), Martin Rattini and Daria Akimeno (producers), Sadiel Gonzales (protagonist)

PERSONALE (93 min) | 6:30 PM | CAPITOL 2

In a lively hotel business in the Italian Dolomites, PERSONALE pays close attention where looking away is part of the system. We observe workers going about their daily tasks: folding towels, making beds and mopping floors and bathrooms. But the pressure is great, time is short and working conditions are precarious.

RIEFENSTAHL (115 min) | 9:30 PM | CAPITOL 1

As a director, she created iconographic images. After the Second World War, she always tried to deny her ideological proximity to the Nazi regime, strictly denying any interaction between her art, which celebrated beauty, health and strength, and the terror of the regime. The estate of one of the most controversial women of the 20th century tells a different story.

In presence of Andres Veiel (director)
